What we retain
We retain the original uploaded file, extracted report preview, findings, author decisions, reference-check metadata, and the minimum account information required for sign-in.
How long
Each manuscript and its report receive a deletion date 90 days after upload. A scheduled cleanup deletes the private Storage objects first and then removes associated report records. Cleanup logs contain identifiers and operational status, not manuscript text or filenames.
Delete earlier
You can delete an individual report or your entire account at any time. Deletion is designed to be idempotent: retrying it does not recreate or expose data.
Backups and providers
Production infrastructure providers may retain encrypted backups for their documented recovery windows. Deleted data is not restored into the active product except as part of disaster recovery.
